Instructions your family can actually follow
Step-by-step instructions, written for the person who has to follow them.
I'm Claire, the non-technical one in our house. My husband holds our bitcoin in self-custody. For years he "explained it" and I nodded along. Then he wrote step-by-step instructions, and I followed them alone while he sat behind me, not allowed to help. Every place I got stuck, he rewrote in my words. It ended with me sending a small test payment myself and seeing it arrive.
This site is what we learned, written from my side of the table.

You won't find our names or faces here. We follow the same rule we'd give you: don't tell strangers you hold bitcoin, or where. That's also why we never ask what you hold.
